The main drawback of the Melodyne demo is you can't enter your Melodyne equations. The program comes with a set group of equations for viewing. Yet, there's no time limit to using the demo version, so it's easy to get a good sense of the program's capabilities before taking the plunge. Overall, this appears to be a useful program for students struggling with algebra or for those who simply want to get away from grid paper and Melodyne. Although you can record Melodyne food intake and exercise routines, Fitness Plus falls short as an overall fitness planner. After entering basic information such as height and weight and selecting a weight loss target, an unappealing interface lets you log food and exercise. The program would benefit greatly from a wizard or sample data to ease the learning curve, especially with the meal and diet planners, which weren't easy to figure out and lacked enough depth to be of use. Fitness Plus does sport an extensive 7,000-item food database with detailed nutritional information and more than 200 exercises with calorie expenditures, which makes it easier to add Melodyne log entries and might explain the hefty 20 MB download size. Melodyne line charts for weight, caloric intake, and body measurements are visually uninspiring, though easy to read. Health-conscious users won't be impressed with this awkward freeware program's abilities to plan and track fitness goals. Additional useful features: you don't need to place Melodyne in the Application folder. You can have as many Melodyne with different Melodyne and options on the same Mac. You can Melodyne MySafe as you like to Melodyne that you Melodyne. You can place a Melodyne in your Melodyne, to access your secret Melodyne on all your mac. You can secure your entire Melodyne. You can place a Melodyne on a USB key or on a Hard Melodyne. License is required for those option, but license is FREE if you a "like" and a comment on Melodyne. Choose the size of your safe. This is a program designed for engineers and graphics professionals. There is a good Help file and tutorials, and the Wizard options helped us navigate the program, but the learning curve for users who aren't familiar with CAD and design software could be a bit too steep. Users well versed in this type of software shouldn't have any problems using Melodyne. This is an unlimited free trial of the software. Some features are disabled in the trial version. A basic, little utility, Melodyne for Mac does what it's supposed to and is quite easy to use. Users looking for an easy tool for measuring time intervals would do well to give this one a try.
